published in German in 1923, Bambi was first translated into English by
the young Whittaker Chambers and became an immediate success in the
English-speaking world. With foreword by John Galsworthy and delightful
illustrations by Kurt Wiese. Book very good with spotting to rear board;
dust jacket with mild toning to spine and the most minimal edgewear and
soiling. Scarce with fragile dust jacket in such excellent
